Let me tell you a story about a boy called Joseph Moles, my third great grandfather on my mother’s side of the family. He came, much like a lot of Australians, by convict ship in 1840 to the shores of Van Dieman’s Land (or Tasmania) to Hobart.

If you are looking for a less hectic and uncrowded holiday spot on the Sunshine Coast, then the coastal town of Coolum is a great alternative to Noosa or Maroochydore. Just 15 minutes south of Noosa and 1 1/2 hours from Brisbane, Coolum still retains the charm of beach holidays from bygone years.

Between visas and cultural adjustments though, traveling to the Middle East usually takes a bit more preparation than travel to other parts of the world.

So you want to live the high life? Well the Gold Coast is home to Australia’s tallest building, Q1, standing at 322.5 metres, that dominates the Surfers Paradise skyline. But also the Gold Coast has the fourth greatest number of skyscrapers in Australia after Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, even though it is only Australia’s sixth largest city.

Göcek’s 12 islands and many bays, clear and clean water, green pine and amber forests and pristine beaches were on the menu for our sailing trip out of Fethiye on the Turquoise Coast of Turkey.

Burleigh Heads in my opinion is the best place to live on the Gold Coast. It not only has beautiful beaches, great surf, rainforested headland, Tallie Creek, green spaces everywhere, but it also has the best in shopping and eating places.

On the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia we are blessed with a plethora of natural attractions. No matter the season – summer, autumn, winter or spring, Mother Nature is at her best offering all types of activities whether it be on water or land.
