Spread the love
" />During my weekly walk and catch up with friends, aka the WINOE’s (Women in Need of Entertainment), we decided that travel is a big priority for our impending ‘golden years’. None of us are getting any younger and the majority of us are either retired or semi-retired from full-time employment so we are fairly flexible with our time and we have fewer family commitments.
We recently made an unanimous decision to search for any bargain holiday deals for a girl’s getaway and take advantage of it if something appealing came along. When I get wind of the possibility of travel I instantly feel exhilaration. Travel and the chance to visit new and exotic places is what I love most in the world.
So I tell the girls, “I have just heard about this great flight booking website called I Want That Flight. How it works, is that you enter the destination of where you would like to travel to and the website searches for all possible flights with both airlines and travel agencies. But the best thing is that if you are flexible with dates you can sign up for a travel alert and wait until the cheapest air fares become available”.
Some of us are subscribed directly to one of the airlines and get emailed specials on a regular basis, but not to one website that compares every airline. Some websites like Webjet or Expedia already do an air fare comparison, but they charge fees, unlike this new website. We agreed that I Want That Flight is definitely going to be the tool we need to get us on that bargain holiday in the near future.
You can do a basic search from I Want That Flight’s home page and it will bring up all options for either domestic or international flights for specific dates, or if you are flexible with dates it will search for the cheapest flights. It then takes you directly to the airline’s booking page to book the flight.
As well as basic search from the homepage, there are pages specially set up to help find you the cheapest flights, based on how flexible your travel dates are. For example if I chose Bali as my destination:
Return flights shown.
Flying Jetstar Airways. Return flights from $415
Dep. Thu 19/Feb/15Ret. Wed 25/Feb/15Economy$415 Select Flight
Dep. Thu 19/Feb/15Ret. Thu 26/Feb/15Economy$415 Select Flight
Dep. Thu 19/Feb/15Ret. Fri 27/Feb/15Economy$415 Select Flight
Also it shows when the cheapest months are to fly:
Monthly Average Prices for Return Airfares to Denpasar/Bali
Jan/15 | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | |
Perth to Denpasar/Bali | $1148 | $897 | $978 | $1109 | $1103 | $874 |
Melbourne to Denpasar/Bali | $1146 | $872 | $853 | $942 | $846 | $872 |
Sydney to Denpasar/Bali | $1102 | $903 | $971 | $950 | $801 | $861 |
Brisbane to Denpasar/Bali | $1149 | $913 | $898 | $957 | $921 | $832 |
Adelaide to Denpasar/Bali | $1046 | $878 | $885 | $1035 | $811 | $857 |
Darwin to Denpasar/Bali | $1412 | $1077 | $986 | $947 | $728 | $870 |
Gold Coast to Denpasar/Bali | $1194 | $1514 | $1100 | $1069 | $1606 | $1797 |
Hanoi to Denpasar/Bali | – | $847 | $1286 | – | – | – |
Manila to Denpasar/Bali | $590 | $1130 | – | $1675 | – | $1340 |
Cairns to Denpasar/Bali | $1579 | $1121 | $1230 | $1432 | $1572 | $1016 |
Or you can check out the best priced air fares for all popular travel destinations and then choose where you want to go! Which is probably what we will do.
Another money saving option is to sign up to I Want That Flight’s daily cheap flights email. The email will inform you of the latest deals so that you can get in quick before prices take off again.
I Want That Flight is certainly the way to go for the budget conscience and anyone who does not like paying extra fees. I know I am definitely sold and will be using this as my go to flight booking website from now on.

July 12, 2018It’s a great idea. I love sites that offer you a chance to shop around and make comparisons.
I’m not as enamoured with travel though I guess, as you know. The thing I’m excited about re retirement is just not having to work!
Kathy
July 12, 2018Not having to work is not what it’s cracked up to be Deb. You still need to substitute some sort of stimuli in lieu of work. I’m hoping to keep working part-time for a while yet. This flight comparison website is one of the best ones I’ve encountered.

July 18, 2018Well we are women in need of entertainment and we all like wine!!! I think a flight to London would be fantastic. I’m yet to discover a lot of Europe and hope to remedy this soon.
