we all had one thing in common on our recent trip to Krabi in Thailand, and that was the desire to kick back and relax for seven rejuvenating days!
Like many of my fellow Australians, I have travelled to tantalising Thailand to see what all the fuss is about. In fact I have had four Thailand holidays staying at four different locations: the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui, the coastal tourist area of Ao Nang in Krabi and the capital city of Bangkok. They are all unique…
So is South East Asia the right travel destination for you? I think it is an acquired taste and like a lot of things in life you need to try it at least once to make up your own mind. For me I unreservedly give South East Asia the “thumbs up”!
Koh Samui is one place I could definitely return to again and again, just for the sheer relaxing vibe that it exudes.
Pattaya provided all the perfect things that a thriving beach resort city should offer: long stretches of sandy beaches, world-class resort hotels, water activities aplenty, beachfront restaurants and bars, great shopping and tourist attractions.
However I discovered that this international city gave me a rush of sensory stimulation with its exotic sights, world-class shopping centres, centuries old temples and palaces, the boat-filled congested Chao Phraya River and the state-of-the-art public transport system.
A certain girl is having her birthday next month and her lovely hubby is treating her with her favourite gift – a holiday!!! Yes I am setting sail again on the high seas of South-East Asia on a 15 day luxury cruise with Princess Cruises
Thailand is still one of the most idyllic travel destination whether you want to relax near the water, walk through the remains of ancient cities or excite your palate with new flavours.
