Spread the love
" />It’s that time of year when we’re starting to think “good riddance to Winter”. We’re looking forward to seeing the last of the chilly weather, jeans, jumpers, boots and scarves, heaters, electric blankets and open fires. Although we enjoyed comfort food like soups, stews and casseroles, we’re looking forward to eating lighter with salads and ice-cream back on the menu. We want to go to the beach, dip our toes into the sea and see leaves return to trees and flowers bloom. We’re all looking forward to springing into Spring!
With this in mind I’ve come up with 20 reasons why I’m look forward to Spring:
“Spring adds new life and new beauty to all that is.” ~ Jessica Harrelson
“The promise of spring’s arrival is enough to get anyone through the bitter winter!” ~ Jen Selinsky
“Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s Party!’” ~ Robin Williams
Can you add to this list? What do you love about Spring?

September 3, 2019I love that Winter is left behind and the chilly nights will be behind us soon. Not to mention the layering of clothing! It’s already feeling like it will be a warmer Spring than last year

September 4, 2019Yes it’s very warm at the moment but I can’t help but think that it’s too warm too early. I like the fact that the days are longer and I feel more inspired to get out of bed early in the morning.

September 4, 2019You sound like you are like me Kathy. You are springing into spring and I’m simply rejoicing that it is spring. No doubt we are both happy it’s spring. And what a great list of reasons to look forward to spring. The only addition I can think of is spring generally brings rain. Fingers crossed we get the much needed rain we need to break this wretched drought. Oh, and I love that Robyn Williams quote.

September 4, 2019Yes indeed! We do need some rain, particularly in outback NSW areas. We drove back from the Coffs Coast today and it did look very dry in certain areas. Maybe we both should do a rain dance!
