Springing Into Spring!

It’s that time of year when we’re starting to think “good riddance to Winter”. We’re looking forward to seeing the last of the chilly weather, jeans, jumpers, boots and scarves, heaters, electric blankets and open fires. Although we enjoyed comfort food like soups, stews and casseroles, we’re looking forward to eating lighter with salads and ice-cream back on the menu. We want to go to the beach, dip our toes into the sea and see leaves return to trees and flowers bloom. We’re all looking forward to springing into Spring!

Springing Into Spring!

With this in mind I’ve come up with 20 reasons why I’m look forward to Spring:

Reasons to Look Forward to Spring

  1. The days are longer and the sun rises earlier allowing more daylight for an early morning stroll or swim at the beach.
  2. You can shed some layers of clothing and start to wear some dresses, shorts, t shirts and sandals.
  3. The days are warming up and you can get out and about to enjoy the great outdoors.

  8. You feel more energised and motivated to exercise or get things done when the weather is warmer.

  12. Look forward to going out of a night time instead of being stuck indoors by the heater.

  14. Start planning your Summer holiday or getaway.

I love that Winter is left behind and the chilly nights will be behind us soon. Not to mention the layering of clothing! It’s already feeling like it will be a warmer Spring than last year

Yes it’s very warm at the moment but I can’t help but think that it’s too warm too early. I like the fact that the days are longer and I feel more inspired to get out of bed early in the morning.

You sound like you are like me Kathy. You are springing into spring and I’m simply rejoicing that it is spring. No doubt we are both happy it’s spring. And what a great list of reasons to look forward to spring. The only addition I can think of is spring generally brings rain. Fingers crossed we get the much needed rain we need to break this wretched drought. Oh, and I love that Robyn Williams quote.

Yes indeed! We do need some rain, particularly in outback NSW areas. We drove back from the Coffs Coast today and it did look very dry in certain areas. Maybe we both should do a rain dance!
