" />Do you ever complete one of those travel challenges on Facebook where you tick off the places you have visited in the world? I’ve done a few of these and found that they mainly focus on places in Europe or USA so I normally don’t score too well. Although I’ve touched on Europe and the USA, most of my overseas travel has comprised of South East Asia and a few places in the Caribbean during a cruise.
Out of interest I decided to make up a list of A to Z of places I’ve visited in the world. Here’s the result:
Surprisingly when I add them up, I have actually been to 25 different countries with many more on my bucket list. I have discovered that cruises are a great way of sampling different countries because they generally sail to numerous ports of different countries within a region. Fingers crossed, I will have the opportunity to see a lot more of Europe during the next few years while I’m still able to travel long distances.
How many different countries have you been to? Which one is your favourite?

January 10, 2017I have so many on my bucket list too Kathy. You have certainly traveled to some wonderful places. Quebec City is gorgeous isn’t it. We visited in 2014. You have inspired me to look at our travels. Up until 2015 we were fortunate enough to have an overseas trip every year, however with parents-in-law to look after that has taken a back seat. This year though we are off to Spain and I can’t wait. Bring on October. Happy travelling Kathy and I really enjoyed your post and photos. xx

January 10, 2017I have been fortunate to travel to some wonderful overseas destinations Sue. I’m very excited about going on a Mediterranean Cruise and spending 3 weeks in Italy this year. We are also going back to Vietnam and visiting Laos later on this year. After this my husband is saying no more overseas hols for a while. He wants to do more caravanning in Australia. :)

January 10, 2017Well! You certainly get around! Great pics(as I would expect from the number#13 top travel blogger)and quite a variety of climates too :)

January 10, 2017Ha ha! Thanks Leanne, but remember I was #13 in the over 50s category of travel bloggers! I do enjoy travelling to new and interesting places overseas. :)

January 11, 2017Wow, what a great variety of places you’ve visited. I agree that a cruise is a great way of ticking off countries and destinations in a short space of time – but perhaps ticking off isn’t the right phrase – more like intense cultural immersion ;) Anyway, I love it. Boy oh boy, I can only imagine the time you must have spent trawling through photos to put this fabulous post together! Absolutely – no wonder you are #13 in the +50’s Travel Bloggers! Go you!

January 11, 2017Did you have the chance to add up countries that you have visited Jo? I imagine you would be at least double my paltry 25 countries! Finding photos of the places I’ve visited was a challenge because some were extremely old (pre-digital days). Who knows how they determine trop travel bloggers? Although it is an honour, I doubt whether anyone is seriously that impressed! Lol. :)

January 15, 2017I’ve only been to 26 – I have to stop going back to India!! Norway is in the list this year!!
Kathy
January 15, 201726 is a fair number Julie. The trick is to go to a continent, like Europe where there are heaps of small countries. I will racking up a few more this year when I go on a Mediterranean cruise. Norway sounds divine. :)
