Outback NSW might not be an area that you have previously considered worthy of a visit. But it is right at the top of my list of favourite places to visit.
New South Wales is rich in history, landscapes and contrasts. It’s home to sophisticated Sydney, where there is a profusion of beautiful beaches, the iconic Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
A road trip from Sydney to the Gold Coast, being a meagre 840 kms, is easily doable in two weeks with stops along the way at some of the great seaside villages dotting the Pacific Coast.
During our we uncovered two fabulous areas in NSW, Australia which I think are worthy of a mention. The Great Macquaries – Port Macquarie located on the mid north NSW coast, and Lake Macquarie located on the central NSW coast.
