With a slogan like “Kalbarri! You’ll love it”! This does not do the place justice at all. It should say “Kalbarri! You’ll absolutely adore it”! The kaleidoscope of colours of her stunning landscapes were magnificent.

A day in Langkawi left me thirsting for more of this magical land of legends. I would have liked more time to explore the beautiful rainforests, rivers, waterfalls and marine parks; cruise around some of the other 99 islands; or see some of the other gorgeous pristine beaches that Langkawi is renowned for.
What I loved about Geraldton was her maritime history and the gorgeous green rolling table-top hills of pastoral lands that surround the town.
I was completely unaware that there were actually two towns named Derby in Australia. As far as towns go they are polar opposites, with one being located in the rugged north west of Australia and the other at the south of our country in Tasmania.

After setting sail from Singapore we cruised through the night and the following morning where we docked at the port of Penang. The largest and most populated state in Malaysia, Penang is located on the northwest coast of Peninsula Malaysia by the Strait of Malacca.
However I discovered that this international city gave me a rush of sensory stimulation with its exotic sights, world-class shopping centres, centuries old temples and palaces, the boat-filled congested Chao Phraya River and the state-of-the-art public transport system.
