31 Favourite Instagrammable Aussie Places

I’m a very proud Aussie and I like to promote my country wherever and whenever I’m able. If you are an Australian there are many good reasons to see Australia first. Not just because it’s easier to get around, as it doesn’t involve obtaining passports, visas nor getting on a long haul flight. Australia is a treasure trove of natural wonders that are comparable to anywhere else in the world and boasts wide open spaces, untrodden wilderness areas and some of the most pristine coastline on earth. That is why I’m excited to bring you my 31 favourite Instagrammable Aussie places during the month of July.

Australia

Australia is an island continent that is surrounded on all coastlines by sea. It has an arid dry interior, a tropical north, a 3,500 kilometre mountain range running from north to south along the East Coast, the world’s largest coral reef, vast savanna lands and rainforests, inland rocky gorges and waterfalls, rambling rivers and creeks, golden sandy beaches, blissful tropical islands, dense eucalypt forests, sweeping plains and a giant rock right in the middle. It is a country of great diversity and ever-changing terrain.

There are five states and two territories in Australia: West Australia, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory and Australian Capital Territory. Each state and territory is unique depending on what type of adventure or travel experience you are after.

If you want non-stop entertainment, gourmet food and glorious parks and gardens in thriving cities then cosmopolitan Melbourne and Sydney will satiate you. If you like a beach holiday then Australia has more than it’s fill of beautiful pristine beaches along the extensive coastline. For a mountain retreat, a country escape or an outback adventure there is also plenty on offer. Or escape to a tropical island paradise in Queensland’s north. Australia has it all!
