Watego's Beach, Byron

Watego’s Beach, Byron

Six women, three nights and a luxury beach house in Byron Bay! Nothing would be more perfect for a girl’s retreat for the weekend.

Byron Bay in northern New South Wales, whose claim to fame is that it is geographically the most easterly point in Australia, and has no high rise buildings, no traffic lights or double lane roads. Just peace and tranquility and a whole lot of relaxing things to do with some of the most beautiful pristine beaches you would ever see.

Byron Bay Beach House

Firstly I must share some photos of the magnificent Ayana Beach House that we stayed in at Clarke’s Beach, that is only a kilometre away from town. The house was two storey with four large bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, designer kitchen, exterior hot spa tub and a huge deck with BBQ facilities with gorgeous views over the beach.

We literally only had to walk across the road to the gorgeous Clarke’s Beach and The Pass, that is a popular surfing spot with a great ‘right-hander’ rolling into the beach.

Cape Byron Lighthouse

When in Byron you must do the Cape Byron Lighthouse walk up a lot stairs but fully worth it with the majestic views that you are afforded along the way.

Brunswick River Stand-up Paddleboarding Tour

As part of our team bonding exercise for the weekend we went stand-up paddleboarding on the nearby Brunswick River. It was a a lot fun.

Byron Bay Shopping

And then there was a spot of retail therapy. Byron has good shopping with a mix of trendy boutiques, gift ware outlets and ‘hippy’ shops.

Byron Bay Dining

Eating and drinking (goes without saying!) There are so many restaurants, pubs, bars, health food eateries and coffee shops in Byron, that the choice is endless.

I know it is a hard life but some of us just have to do it! But seriously Byron Bay is a perfect destination to get away from it all and just sit back, chillax and do nothing at all.

Where have you been on a girl’s or couple’s retreat weekend? I would appreciate your recommendations.

I think Byron would be a perfect place for a girl’s getaway. I wish I’d had more time to browse through all those shops.

Byron Bay looks great. I will have to make sure we go there whenever we get to NSW. It looks like a perfect place for a girls weekend. Looks like you had fun! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog this week.

It was a fantastic weekend. I normally have a long weekend away with the girls once a year, however this one was for work. There was more play than work this particular weekend!
