Yes, Cary Grant good looks but with the post-modern smirk / ironic self-awareness. I realize that some of that smirk is the result of his having had Bell’s Palsy, but he certainly makes it work for him. I love him in “One Fine Day” about two working single parents. It reminds me of the madness of my married life when I was working full time with two pre-schoolers. My husband and I had lots of “ships passing in the night” moments like that movie has. Thanks for the lovely pic and the chance to ruminate about Clooney.
You’re welcome Karen. I never knew that about Cary Grant – you learn something new everyday! Yes George was gorgeous in “One Fine Day” but I really loved him in “Ocean’s Eleven” – he was the likeable scoundrel!
Bonnie
February 12, 2013George Clooney is a throwback to the great old Hollywood heart throbs. Your secret is safe with me!
Kathy
February 12, 2013Thanks Bonnie. George is definitely a heart throb and he is maturing like a fine bottle of red!
Sharon Greenthal
February 12, 2013George is a classic handsome guy. As close to a real old-fashioned movie star as there is.
Kathy
February 12, 2013Oh yes Sharon, he certainly has that ‘something’ about him!
Barbara
February 12, 2013He just keeps getting more gorgeous every day. Reminds me of Carey Grant!
Kathy
February 12, 2013Barbara, yes George does look a bit like Carey Grant. He’s got those classical good looks.
Joy Weese Moll (@joyweesemoll)
February 12, 2013He definitely still has it going on.
Kathy
February 12, 2013Ha ha yes Joy he certainly does!
